Many visitors to Phuket enjoy an evening at the night market to experience the sights and sounds - and smells - of the marketplace. The food is usually excellent and healthy, and bargain-priced. Take your time and enjoy the slow strolling pace of Thai life. You are on vacation after all! Just about every small community will have a "night market" at least two times per week, sometimes more. While often called night markets - they usually begin even as early as noon and run on into the evening.
Ask in the area where are you are interested. Every Thai will know exactly where and when for their community. For Kamala - Mon and Wed on the south end of town on the road to Patong. On Friday on the north end of town near FantaSea. Markets change locations infrequently, but if you can't find a market in the same place as last time you visited - check and see - they do move sometimes. - Copyright
