prime reasons why Bang Tao Beach is so popular.
What could be more enjoyable than enjoying a great
meal while watching a beautiful sunset - as you sit
right on the beach?
From the very north of the Bay -
Layan Beach as it is called, through Lay Phang
Beach, and on down to Bang Tao Beach (the central
and south of the bay) - you will never be more than
100 meters away from excellent Thai food.
Lotus, on the central north
of the bay - just outside the Banyan Tree Resort.
Try the Penang Gai (chicken) and batter-fried
shrimp.
Tam Yam Goong, central part
of the bay - just south of the Laguna Beach Resort.
Excellent garlic and pepper shrimp.
Bang Tao Seafood, central
south part of the bay - between the Amora Resort and
the Sunwing.
Bang Tao Lagoon Bungalows,
south central of the bay. Upgrading resort with an
excellent restaurant and modest prices.
Bang Tao Beach Resort,
south central beach. Though this is a hotel/resort
- the kitchen is excellent. You will pay a bit
more, but well worth it. Very nice setting.
Andaman Bang Tao Bay Resort,
south part of the beach. Very small resort with an
excellent kitchen. Try their Masaman Curry and
Satay Chicken.
Nok and Jo's - just off the
beach a bit on the beach road - behind the Andaman
Bang Tao Bay Resort. Well worth the short walk back
to it. Everything is good here. Try the
weinerschnitzel.
These choices represent only a
small percentage of the choices - and very few of
the beach shack restaurants will ever disappoint
you.
